Description

Need to change who owns the shares in your UK company?

Our Share Transfer Service helps you complete the necessary documentation and update your company records when shares are transferred from one shareholder to another — for example, when a company changes from two shareholders to one person owning 100% of the shares.

Turnaround

Usually 3–5 working days once all required information, documents and signatures have been provided.

Before We Start

One check before starting: If the company has existing rules restricting who shares can be transferred to (for example a shareholders’ agreement), I’ll review these first to make sure the transfer is valid. This is confirmed at the start, and only priced separately (from £75) if it actually applies. Most small companies don’t have these.

If additional legal or specialist review is required because of such restrictions, this will be discussed with you before any additional work is undertaken.

Important Information

The £150 service fee covers the share transfer service and all the work listed above.

Separate statutory charges may apply where required:

Companies House confirmation statement fee: £50
HMRC Stamp Duty: 0.5% where applicable if the shares are sold for more than £1,000. Many share consolidations at nominal value do not incur Stamp Duty.

These statutory charges are government fees and are separate from the £150 service fee.

Get Started: Provide your company details and share transfer information, and we’ll guide you through the process from documentation to completion.
